| The subject of this research paper has largely to do with both racism as well as ethnocentrism. This is to say, we, as people, base many of our own perceptions of self as well as others upon what many would regard as superficial aspects. These have largely to do with ethnic aspects or features. For example, and to a large extent, I am referring to various ethnic groups including Caucasians, blacks, Hispanics, Asians, etc. Many of us, within these respective groups, associate our “world view” upon who we are (as perceived from an ethnic context). Other similarities which accompany these ethnic differences have to do with such cultural aspects as language, dress, food, and other features which set us apart in terms of our own ethnic background. It is my speculative guess that familiarity breeds superiority; and conversely, differences breed the perception of inferiority. Those of us who believe we are superior regard others (“inferiors”) as subordinate. If they are different, which we equate with “lesser”, then it is seemingly natural that “we” are superior and “they” are inferior, or subordinate. Within overall mainstream white America, it is true that in many of the more well to do areas, people of color assume subordinate positions and perform menial tasks for the benefit of the so-called “superior” or dominant members of our overall culture, i.e. Caucasians, or those members of an Anglo Saxon background. |

| Well things have been kind of crazy lately....i have met alot of new people and i like them alot.....so sad that they had to go back home.....we had some good times and hope that we will all be re-united someday....anyways i am sorry for anything that i have done to someone lately....i must not have been thinking correctly....i will try my best to make it up to you and just be friends....GULFPORT GIRLS ARE BEAUTIFUL.....but anyways i am sitting at Justins house bored but were about to go get something to eat....see you guys later.... |
